Description
A warm and fluffy baked potato made easy in the air fryer, perfect for chilly fall evenings.
Ingredients
- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, crispy bacon bits, seasonal spices
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes: Choose medium-sized russet potatoes for the ideal texture. Rinse the potatoes under cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Using a fork, prick a few holes in each potato.
- Season the potatoes: Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle sea salt generously over each potato.
- Air fry the potatoes: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Cook for 35-40 minutes, shaking at the halfway mark.
- Check for doneness: After 35 minutes, use a fork to check if they’re tender. If they are soft inside and the skin is crispy, they’re ready! If not, add another 5-10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy: Carefully remove them from the air fryer, slice open, and add your favorite toppings.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer for optimal cooking. Experiment with seasonings for added flavor.
