Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits (or halal alternatives), garlic, etc.
Instructions
- Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
- Prick the potatoes several times all over with a fork to allow steam to escape.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil (or melted butter) to help crisp the skin.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the potatoes for flavor.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket without crowding.
- Cook the potatoes for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
- Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes before slicing them open.
