Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (two crusts)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, or brush with milk for a dairy-free alternative)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cooking spray (or olive oil spray)
Instructions
- Combine diced apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Roll out the refrigerated pie crusts on a floured surface and cut circles about 4 inches in diameter.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place a tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each dough circle and fold to seal.
- Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Brush tops with egg wash or milk and air fry for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from air fryer, cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
Don’t overfill the dough and ensure even cutting of circles for uniform cooking.
