Description
These easy and satisfying 4 Ingredient Peanut Butter Banana Bars are perfect for a quick snack or a cozy dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 large very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (stirred and smooth)
- 1 cup rolled oats (use gluten-free oats for a gluten-free option)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth. Stir in the peanut butter until fully combined.
- Add the rolled oats and honey, mixing until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan, pressing gently with a spatula.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out using the parchment overhang and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
- Slice into bars or squares and enjoy either warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For firmer bars, chill the mixture in the fridge for 20–30 minutes before baking. Add chocolate chips during the last 5 minutes for a chocolaty touch.
