Description
This moist and fluffy 4-ingredient banana bread comes together in one bowl using only ripe bananas, eggs, self-rising flour, and your preferred sweetener. It’s perfect for beginner bakers, busy families, or anyone craving a quick and easy homemade treat.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas (mashed)
2 large eggs
1½ cups self-rising flour
½ cup sugar or maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Add the eggs and mix until fully combined.
Stir in the self-rising flour and sugar (or maple syrup) until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for the best flavor and moisture.
For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free self-rising flour blend plus 1½ tsp baking powder and ¼ tsp salt.
Optional add-ins: cinnamon, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, or chopped nuts.
Store covered at room temperature for 2–3 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
Great for freezing in individual slices for quick snacks.
